1.0 Courses

2.0 Rounds

2.1 How do I enter multiple rounds on the same day?

Increase the 'round' number in the upper right hand corner of the 'Add Round' dialog.

2.2 Can I track sand saves?

Yes, as of version 0.6.4.

2.3 Can I track penalties, e.g. out of bounds, lateral hazard, water hazard?

Not yet. This feature may come at a later time.

3.0 Handicap

3.1 What handicap system does GolfTracker use?

GolfTracker currently follows the USGA handicap system.

3.2 What do the N numbers mean?

All number ending in an 'N' refer to the 9 hole version of the statistic or handicap. For example a 6.4N handicap index refers to your index for 9 hole rounds.

3.3 What do the C and S flags mean in the 'Handicap Rounds' view?

When generating the set of rounds used to calculate the handicap index, artificial rounds can be calculated. For the 18 hole index, two 9 hole rounds can be combined to form one 18 hole round. Vice versa, for the 9 hole index, a single 18 hole round can be split to form two 9 hole rounds. All artificial rounds are designated by the 'C' (combined) or 'S' (split) flags.

3.3.1 How do I disable handicap rounds from being combined or split?

In order to disable the combining and/or splitting of rounds used to calculate the handcap index, the profile must be manually edited. Open the profile.gtp file in a standard text editor and modify the 'handicap_combine_rounds' and 'handicap_split_rounds' lines as needed. This maybe integrated into the User Interface at a later time.

4.0 Statistics

4.1 Why does the 'Putts Per Round' and 'Putting Average' statistics not make sense?

The 'Putting Average' only uses holes when greens are hit in regulation. 'Putts Per Round' uses every hole.

4.2 Where is the Up and Down statistic?

Its called 'Scrambling'.

4.3 What is 'Bounce Back'?

Bouncing back is when you follow a bogie or worse with a birdie or better.
